SITS Data Quality
This area of the Information Management Project relates to improving the quality of the data in the SITS Student Record System. The following improvements are planned:
- Amendments to course structures to be able to more effectively track students on courses where stages span academic years.
- Implementation of SITS Automation Manager facilities which will guide users through the steps to update data and automatically popuate data fields based on pre-defined rules. This will avoid the need for duplication of data entry and the subsequent margin for error.
- Review of the process for building elective modules.
- Upgrade to assessment spreadsheets to avoid instances where SITS data is amended to facilitate assessment reporting.
- Development of audit/exception reports.
- E-Vision/Portal developments to provide staff facilities for mark entry, reporting and automation of withdrawals.
