Learning Outcomes for Module | |

On completion of this module, students are expected to be able to: | |
1 | Critique the definitions, components and application of digital literacy in health and social care. |
2 | Appraise the challenges and opportunities of digital health innovations in relation to digital literacy within their own professional practice. |
3 | Analyse the impact of service change management within their own professional practice, in terms of innovative digital technologies. |
4 | Make informed judgement about information governance, data handling and protecting personal information relating to their own professional practice. |
Indicative Module Content |

Digital health and care literacy; interdependency of digital and health literacies and capabilities; leading change; innovation: workforce development of digital literacy of health professionals, patients, citizens and industry in health promotion, workforce capability, innovative digital technologies, components and strategies of eHealth, including community-based eHealth, accessible and secure digital records, electronic information and communication technologies, digital participation projects, service change management, co-production and co-design, and information governance and cybersecurity, big data, Artificial intelligence, GDPR. |
Module Delivery |

Full-time: Blended learning approach including on campus tutorials supplemented by online learning. Part-time: Delivered via Moodle with online tutorials and asynchronous discussions. For the MSc Nursing, the module will be delivered face-to-face on campus supported by online delivery. |
