Web Development Project Structure
Project Sponsor
Shona Cormack
The project sponsor has responsibility for:-
- To act as a champion and 'owner' of the project
- Overall Business Assurance of the project
- To chair the Project Board
- To provide high-level direction to the Project Board
- At project end, to ensure all required sign-offs are completed
- Ensure that the benefits have been realised by holding a post-project review.
- Communication with corporate & programme management
- Monitor and control the progress of the project at a strategic level.

The Project Board has responsibility for:-
- Executive responsibility and accountability for the project
- Provide an overall project decision making body
- Resolution of high level conflicts
- Remove obstacles where these cannot be addressed by the project manager
- Provide future project direction
- Provide overall guidance and direction to the project
- Agree major Change Requests
- Oversee the management of risks
- Provide guidance to the project manager
- Approve the Project Quality Plan (PQP)

Project Manager

The Project Manager has responsibility for:-
- Delivery of the project to agreed timescales/budgets/objectives
- Day-to-Day responsibility for planning/control/measurement and reporting
- Day-toDay management of project personnel
- Change Management
- Risk Management
- Issue Management
- Project Administration & Configuration Management
Work Stream Leads
Gavin Douglas (Communication, Business Change, Web Strategy, Requirements,Visual Design and Information Architecture)
Colin Jones (Technical and Site Build, CMS)
Kate Blake (Content Migration)
James Buckingham (Testing)
The work-stream leads have responsibility for:-
- Work Package Delivery to agreed timescale/budget/objectives
- Work Package Direction, planning and monitoring
- Risk and Issue identification
- Risk and Issue Management under the direction of the Project Manager
- Manage the resource for the given work-stream
Consultants
The consultant company 'Precedent' have been engaged to assist the project with the visual design and information architecture.
