Introduction to being a Student Faculty Officer

Students

What is a Student Faculty Officer and what do they do?

A Student Faculty Officer acts as the link between student reps in their faculty and the faculty itself, with added support from the Students’ Association. Usually it will involve representing the interests of student reps to the Faculty. They sit on University Committees and make sure that students are at the heart of decision making whilst bringing any issues to the attention of the Faculty.

Student Faculty Officers also form a key link between student representatives and the Students’ Association. They sit as full members of the Student Affairs Committee which reports to the Students’ Association Executive Board.
