A Voice of Reason

The Group - a voice of reason is comprised of young people, all of whom have had experiences of being in care, who assist the lecturing staff in the teaching of social work. In addition they have been involved in staff annd student selection, developing course materials and attending conferences and other training events.

The Group members have secured funding for digital filming and audio equipment which they will use to develop learning objects for use in the classroom. It is also hoped in the future to start a website which will host a range of teaching aids and information for social workers in training.
