Happy new year! Welcome to the first edition of RGU: NEWS of 2007, and with the new year comes a new look for the magazine. As many of you will be aware, space in the previous incarnation was always at a premium, and so we have now moved to a 12-page publication - all the better to do justice to the many exciting events and developments taking place at RGU! We have also made changes to the format and layout, which we hope will meet with your approval!
In the coming months we plan to canvas your opinions on both RGU: NEWS and RGU: BULLETIN, but in the meantime we'd be delighted to hear your thoughts on the new-look RGU: NEWS. You can contact us by emailing newsdesk@rgu.ac.uk." class="standard">newsdesk@rgu.ac.uk.
This month, as ever, the issue is crammed full with news of student and staff successes, including Christmas graduation stories, innovative initiatives, pioneering research, links with industry and VIP visits. This issue also sees the first of what it is hoped will become a regular feature, on one of the University's departments – in this case it's The Gatehouse, Graphics and Printing Consultancy. Again, we’d be delighted to hear your suggestions for departments, and specialist research centres around the University to feature over the coming months.
If you have any stories you would like included in next month's issue or if you would like copies of any photos included in this magazine, please get in touch by email at newsdesk@rgu.ac.uk or on ext. 2206.The deadline for articles to be included in the February edition is Wednesday 6 January.
