To develop skills and intellectual abilities in the investigation, assessment, evaluation and interpretation of a variety of relevant source material and its reiteration through literate and critical argument. |

On completion of this module, students are expected to be able to: | |
1 | Use a systematic approach to information acquisition and retrieval using the full range of available search techniques. |
2 | Critically analyse theoretical ideas and other information. |
3 | Conduct a critical review of the literature relevant to the topic under investigation. |
4 | Develop a focused aims statement and formulate an appropriate methodology for testing. |
5 | Assemble a coherent, well-structured and intelligible dissertation written to professional standards. |
