1 | Critically analyse research methodology and its relevance to social work methods within evidence based practice principles. |
2 | Develop research skills which can be applied to research design at the appropriate academic level. |
Indicative Module Content |
---|
The nature and relevance of research. Sources of research and advanced literature searching. A review of the major methods relevant to social science and social work research. Interpreting statistics and data analysis. Application of research in social work practice through engagement with a local agency. Evaluation skills and research. The content also reflects the knowledge, skills and professional confidence and competence requirements around engagement with public protection. |
