Aims of Module

To provide knowledge and analytical frameworks which will assist students in critically analysing social work practice through an ethical lens. To enable students to develop their understanding of the context and practice of working with other professionals and with service users and carers.

Learning Outcomes for Module

On completion of this module, students are expected to be able to:

1. Critically analyse ethical dilemmas and value tensions in relation to social work practice.
2. Critically apply knowledge to joint working within a care context.
3. Analyse and justify service user/carer engagement within a social work context.
