Aims of Module
To provide students with the ability to make sound and accountable assessments of learner practice, and evaluate the effectiveness of the experiences provided to the learner.

Learning Outcomes for Module
On completion of this module, students are expected to be able to:
1 Arrive at accountable and evidence based decisions regarding a learner's practice competence, linked to the learner's stage of training, which includes the learner's ability to adhere to the SSSC Codes of Practice.
2 Effectively utilise a range of assessment approaches which appropriately match the learner's stage of training.
3 In collaboration with others, critically reflect and evaluate the effectiveness of the learning environment provided to learners.
4 Demonstrate through observation of practice undertaken by the Mentor the ability to contribute to the learner’s practice.
