Aims of Module
To enable students to evaluate critically the effects of management organisation within social work settings.

Learning Outcomes for Module
On completion of this module, students are expected to be able to:
1 Evaluate a range of approaches to management and leadership, including change management within social work settings.
2 Evaluate models of quality assurance and their application within social work settings.
3 Evaluate the contributions of financial organisation to the provision of efficient and effective social work provision.

Indicative Module Content
Management & Leadership models. Theories of organisations. Current context of social work management. Ethical leadership. Change management/transistions. Management & Leadership an inter-discplinary context. The development and support of staff. Reflects the knowledge, skills and professional confidence and competence requirements around engagement with public protection.
