1 | Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of theories relating to personality and intelligence. |
2 | Critically evaluate theoretical approaches to the study of personality and intelligence. |
3 | Demonstrate a critical understanding of the application of theories of individual differences in an applied context. |
Indicative Module Content |
---|
The nature of individual differences; approaches and determinants. Theoretical approaches and conceptual issues. The measurement of individual differences and general approaches. An overview of theories and approaches to personality - psychodynamic, type/trait, humanistic, and cognitive/behavioural. The nature of intelligence, its measurement and contemporary issues. The implications and applications of individual differences. |
