Aims of Module
To provide practice experience which will enable the student to enhance their employability and transferable skills and experience working within a suitable social science based environment.

Learning Outcomes for Module
On completion of this module, students are expected to be able to:
1 Apply relevant social science skills in a workplace setting
2 Identify and develop relevant employability and transferable skills in a workplace setting
3 Critically reflect upon their personal and professional development after undertaking the placement

Indicative Module Content
Direct placement experience, which will allow the student to reflect, apply and develop a range of relevant employability and transferable skills. Where a student's placement is research-based, they will actively demonstrate research methods skills. If the placement is undertaken in a more traditional work placement, then they will have the opportunity to draw upon Applied Social Sciences theory, values and research.
