Aims of Module

To provide students with opportunities that will assist their development as critically reflective thinkers with awareness of engagement strategies with children and strategies for building significance into activities.

Learning Outcomes for Module

On completion of this module, students are expected to be able to:

1. Evaluate strengths and limitations, set goals and devise strategies for the personal growth of themselves and for the children with whom they work.
2. Reflect on themselves as members of communities with responsibility towards each other and the environment.
3. Appraise ability as active participants in sustainable and collaborative projects with children.
4. Analyse the significance of a range of activities involving intellectual, physical, creative and emotional experiences.
