To explore, assess and evaluate concepts of group working. To support the development of assessment and intervention skills in employing a group work approach in social care settings. |

On completion of this module, students are expected to be able to: | |
1 | Discuss the principles, processes and practices of group work within relevant legislative and policy contexts taking into account the rights and responsibilities of workers and service users. |
2 | Reflect on their own experiences of being in groups both personal and professional. |
3 | Apply understanding of how to manage group processes including change and conflict. |
