Aims of Module
To provide practice experiences, which will enable the student to demonstrate competence in the SSSC requirements contained in the Standards in Social Work Education document in a manner appropriate for a level 3 student.
Learning Outcomes for Module
On completion of this module, students are expected to be able to:

Reflect on assessment, including analysis of risk.

Apply an appropriate range of theory to an assessment of a service user.

Explain, apply, justify and evaluate a range of social work methods.

4. |
Demonstrate competence in direct practice skills as required by the SSSC in a manner appropriate for a Level 3 student.

Indicative Module Content
Direct practice experiences which will allow the student the opportunity to reflect, apply, and integrate a range of values, theories and methods to social work practice.
| Where a student's practice learning is undertaken in a child care setting they will draw from theory, practice and research of the subject matter and meet the expectations and knowledge requirement of key requirements of the key capaibilities in Child Care and Protection(Scottish Executive, 2006). All students on placements must address key requirements of the key capabilities in child care and protection.
