Aims of Module
To enable the student to reflect critically on and evaluate their personal and professional development arising from their practice learning experiences.

Learning Outcomes for Module
On completion of this module, students are expected to be able to:
1 Reflect on professional learning and development from practice learning.
2 Discuss professional learning and the significance of the relationship between personal and professional learning.
3 Discuss the role of ethical practice in addressing ethical dilemmas and conflicts from the period of practice learning.
4 Evaluate how support and supervision processes contributed to continuous professional development.

Indicative Module Content
Direct Practice experiences which allow the student opportunities to reflect, apply and integrate a range of values, theories and methods to social work practice. Students will draw and reflect on theory, research, practice skills and issues from placement. The module is delivered and underpinned by a commitment to core social work values of respect, individualisation, empowerment, anti-discriminatory and anti-oppressive principles and upholds the values and ethical practice standards that reflect the requirements relating to engagement with public protection.
