For DL studens: satisfactory completion of all SHE2 modules or satisfactory completion of APEL requirements.

Aims of Module

To enable the student to identify factors which produce risk to an individual, group or community. To enable the student to evaluate the extent of the risk and to identify strategies for dealing with the implications of social risk.

Learning Outcomes for Module

On completion of this module, students are expected to be able to:

1. Provide an appraisal of a situation which identifies levels of risk.
2. Evaluate and critically appraise issues of human rights within the assessment risk.
3. Formulate an action plan to address the identified risk, giving edvidence of knowledge derived from evidence or research.
