| 3 | Apply themes from social policies, law and human growth and behaviour to social work practice. |
| Indicative Module Content |

| Historical antecedents of social policy. Relationship between social policy and social work practice. Key concepts in policy formulation and analysis. Models of welfare provision. Philosophical and ideological underpinning of social policy. Social policy pertaining to a range of social phenomena. Reflects the knowledge, skills and professional confidence and competence requirements around engagement with public protection. |
