Aims of Module | |||

To provide the student with the ability to understand the law relating to child protection, criminal justice, mental health, community care and anti-discriminatory law. |

1 | Show understanding of child protection law and its application. |
2 | Show understanding of mental health, incapacity, adult support & protection, and community care law and its application. |
3 | Show understanding of the law relating to criminal justice and its application. |

5 | Identify linkages between different areas of legislation. |

Education law. Criminal law and evidence. Equality Legislation. Reflects the knowledge, skills and professional confidence and competence requirements around engagement with public protection. |
Module Delivery |

The primary mode of delivery will be lectures with the seminars acting as a forum for the development of higher cognitive skills through discussion of problems and case studies. In addition, students will be directed to study relevant literature. |
