4 | Describe the main political institutions, their powers and functions in relation to social work in Scotland |

Study skills. Academic integrity. Professional codes of ethics. Personal and professional values. History of social work. Roles and tasks of social work. Social work knowledge base and skills. Social issues and social work. Introduction to main service user groups. Social work agencies and organisational structures. The main Scottish and UK-wide political structures and processes. Scottish political systems in relation to social policy and social work. |
