Aims of Module | |||
---|---|---|---|
To provide the student with the ability to understand cognitive processes and the psychological aspects of social interaction, including aspects of attitude formation and prejudice. |

On completion of this module, students are expected to be able to: | |
1 | Describe the key theories in relation to memory, attention, perception, learning, motivation and emotion. |
2 | Describe the psychological aspects of social interaction and social processes. |
Indicative Module Content |
---|
Cognitive psychology: attention and perception processes. Problem solving, memory processes, learning, motivation, and emotion. Social psychology: self and relationships. Attribution processes, pro and anti-social behaviour. Attitudes and aspects of prejudice. Group processes and social influence. Individual differences in psychology. |
Module Delivery |

This is a mainly lecture based module with supporting seminars/workshops and student-centred learning. The on-campus activities will be supplemented and supported with online activities where appropriate. |
