1 | Demonstrate understanding of the importance of research governance and integrity, including research ethics. |
2 | Critically evaluate the principles of study design, including observational and experimental studies. |
3 | Demonstrate mastery of appropriate methodological techniques for data collection, analysis, interpretation and dissemination in a specified area of study. |
Indicative Module Content |
---|
Study design including qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, animal and cellular models, sample selection, questionnaire design, bias, confounding, validity, accuracy, calibration, precision, replicability, and critical appraisal of the literature. Compliance with research ethics and research governance framework, protocols, information sheets, consent forms, good clinical practice, and intellectual property issues. Data collection and management, statistical analysis, data presentation, interpretation and dissemination. |
