To further develop experience in research methodology by the generation of original data and to evaluate, present and defend research results. |

On completion of this module, students are expected to be able to: | |
1 | Plan and perform procedures to acquire data. |
2 | Critically evaluate original research in a written format with reference to pertinent literature. |
3 | Demonstrate an ability in communication skills including defence of research results. |
Indicative Module Content |
---|
The application of research skills for data generation, analysis and presentation in an aspect of pharmacy addressing the themes, The Patient, The Medicine and The Pharmacist. There is no formal syllabus for this module. |
Module Delivery |
---|
Contact hours are achieved through activities that involve a combination of practical and non-practical skills necessary for the acquisition of data. Non-contact hours includes preliminary reading of the specified supporting material, literature searching, preparation of required documentation prior to data collection and the preparation of a written report and poster. |
