Aims of Module | |||

To enable the student to generate a proposal suitable to undertake an empirical study or a structured review of an area of clinical practice, using a robust and systematic process, which will inform future research or practice. |
Learning Outcomes for Module | |

On completion of this module, students are expected to be able to: | |
1 | Construct a research question and justify a proposed research design for a topic relevant to advancing healthcare practice. |
2 | Synthesise current evidence related to the topic which is relevant to the selected area of advancing healthcare practice. |
3 | Critically appraise ethical issues, processes for research governance, data management, analysis and dissemination of results for study of the topic in the selected area of advancing healthcare practice. |
4 | Evaluate the potential application and impact of studying the selected topic in relation to the practice area and the advancing practitioner role. |
