Aims of Module
To enable the student to critically explore strategies to support and protect vulnerable children, young people, families and groups.

Learning Outcomes for Module
On completion of this module, students are expected to be able to:
1 Critically appraise theories and concepts of abuse connecting to current legislation, policies and guidelines.
2 Critically examine frameworks used to manage risk and resilience.
3 Formulate and synthesise strategies when working with children, young people, families and other vulnerable individuals and groups.
4 Critically appraise roles and responsibilities within interagency work to protect children, young people, families and other vulnerable individuals and groups
5 Critically evaluate their personal and professional development in relation to working with children, young people, families and other vulnerable individuals and groups.
