Aims of Module
To prepare healthcare professionals to independently elicit a structured clinical history and perform a clinical examination concentrating on the major body systems. Accurate documentation of history and clinical findings.

Learning Outcomes for Module
On completion of this module, students are expected to be able to:
1 Conduct a focused clinical history and physical examination utilising a systematic approach.
2 Critically analyse history to establish system examination required.
3 Analyse clinical findings to determine normal, differentiate from abnormal and interpret significance in relation to wellbeing.
4 Critically synthesise findings from history taking and examination to formulate a differential diagnosis.
5 Demonstrate concise documentation of findings in a structured system.

Module Delivery
This module will be delivered via Moodle with either online tutorials and asynchronous discussions or six face-to-face days depending on the run of the module.

Prerequisites for Module In addition to course entry requirements, students are required to identify a clinical mentor within their workplace to facilitate supervised practice and consolidate clinical skills.
