Aims of Module
To enable the student to consolidate and further develop their proficiency within their advancing role, utilising recognised competencies.

Learning Outcomes for Module
On completion of this module, students are expected to be able to:
1 Construct a negotiated learning agreement of their identified developmental needs, to reflect advancing practice within the context of personal, professional and organisational goals.
2 Reflect and critically evaluate skills, knowledge and attributes required to fulfil the role of the practitioner at an advanced level.
3 Critically appraise the four pillars of advanced practice principles to promote practice.
4 Critically explore, analyse and evaluate an appropriate area of personal development relevant to professional practice.

Indicative Module Content
Concept of work-based learning; Learning agreements; Evidencing the process and outcome of learning; Work based learning as negotiated in individual learning agreements to meet personal, professional and organisational goals; Evidence of competency in practice; Reflection in practice; Clinical supervision.

The practice portfolio, including achievement of work-based proficiencies, will be assessed on a pass/fail basis by the Practice Assessor and Academic Assessor.
