Aims of Module
To enable the student to identify, appraise and synthesise evidence to inform practice and to critically explore the concept of clinical leadership and its impact upon the delivery of safe, effective and person-centred health care.

Learning Outcomes for Module
On completion of this module, students are expected to be able to:
1 Critically appraise evidence and evaluate its contribution to health and social care.
2 Critically evaluate alternative perspectives on the importance of clinical leadership in healthcare systems.
3 Critically examine the policy drivers shaping the contemporary clinical leadership agenda.
4 Critically review clinical development tools and processes within the context of safe, effective person-centred care.
5 Critically evaluate the change process and its application to quality improvement.
