Aims of Module
To provide students with knowledge and experience of producing a research proposal or systematic literature review.
Learning Outcomes for Module
On completion of this module, students are expected to be able to:

Justify the research design or review protocol chosen.

Produce a complete research proposal or systematic review.

Indicative Module Content
Research proposal design; systematic literature review; ethical considerations; resourcing and budgeting; research planning; identifying areas for research activity; supervision; preparation of curriculum vitae. Any relevant study skills.

| Coursework will be assessed through a research proposal or a systematic review to include an extended literature review. The research proposal or systematic review will be 10,000 - 15,000 words. In exceptional circumstances an oral examination may be required as part of the assessment to establish Honours classification.
