This module aims to provide the student with the opportunity to conduct an in-depth investigation into a specific area of practice or professional interest. |
Learning Outcomes for Module | |

On completion of this module, students are expected to be able to: | |
1 | Utilise a range of academic and resource finding skills to search for and source relevant literature, theories, data or evidence for an agreed clinical topic. |
2 | Critically interpret and synthesise important findings relating to the clinical topic studied. |
3 | Draw meaningful and informative conclusions with emergent recommendations for further research, development of theory, policy or clinical practice. |
4 | Produce a piece of independent writing in the form of a practice focused journal article OR an evidence based practice project. |
Indicative Module Content |
---|
Critical and analytical skills; Critical/systematic literature review; Project planning; Oral presentation; Time management; Project/report writing. Students will work independently with regular tutorial support and supervision (evidenced in a learning/meeting log), to prepare the project. |
