Aims of Module
To enable the student to develop a knowledge and understanding of the key principles of health surveillance.

Learning Outcomes for Module
On completion of this module, students are expected to be able to:
1 Explore the key components of health surveillance.
2 Discuss the general principles of legislation and policy applied to health surveillance.
3 Examine the relationship of occupational hygiene and disease in relation to health surveillance.
4 Critically analyse the impact of health surveillance within the workplace.
5 Review the principles of health promotion in relation to health and safety.
