Aims of Module
To enable the student to demonstrate a broad knowledge and understanding of the theories, principles and concepts relevant to occupational health.

Learning Outcomes for Module
On completion of this module, students are expected to be able to:
1 Discuss the principles, theories and history of Occupational Health and public health.
2 Analyse the role of the contemporary Occupational Health practitioner.
3 Critically analyse the use of evidence, legislation and policy that apply to Occupational health practice.
4 Apply the principles of health needs assessment.
5 Explore the professional and ethical dimensions of Occupational Health practice.
