Aims of Module
To enable the student to become competent in delivering, critically analysing and justifying complex therapeutic nursing interventions for children and young people.

Learning Outcomes for Module
On completion of this module, students are expected to be able to:
1 Justify complex therapeutic interventions with an evidence based rationale.
2 Critically analyse best available evidence to inform complex nursing care.
3 Demonstrate advanced nursing skills essential for children and young people with complex health needs.
4 Discuss nursing practice and decision making processes in relation to the managment of childhood emergencies and crisis situations.
