Aims of Module
To facilitate the student's application of sciences to childhood trauma and illness.

Learning Outcomes for Module
On completion of this module, students are expected to be able to:
1 Analyse the sciences and humanities using a variety of critical perspectives.
2 Examine the impact of advanced sciences on contemporary aspects of children and young people's nursing practice.
3 Debate the evidence of advanced sciences in relation to the wellbeing of children, young people and their family.
4 Critique specific advanced sciences in relation to the quality of life for the child, young person and family.
