1 | Examine the pathophysiological processes involved in the healing of wounds. |
2 | Discuss holistic wound assessment and the negotiation and planning of appropriate treatment option/s to manage them effectively. |
3 | Explore the contemporary evidence base and policy drivers relating to wound management. |
4 | Compare and contrast treatment option/s and reflect on the possible or actual outcomes. |

The individuals' experience of wounds; Physical and psychological aspects of planned and unplanned wounds; Pathophysiology; Wound healing process; Factors influencing wound healing process; Wound assessment; Wound classification; Acute wounds; Chronic wounds; Wound management products; Product selection; Evidence based practice/research skills; Holistic care; Pharmacological management; Professional and ethical issues relating to wound care; Reflection and practice development. |
