ADDITIONAL NOTES
This is a nursing practice module. Practice learning is carried out by BN and BN Hons students in two different practice locations at 37.5 hours per week for 19 weeks comprised of two placements, one 11 weeks in length (412.5 hours) and one 8 weeks in length (300 hours). 300 hours must be completed in the 11 week placement and 200 in the 8 week placement. Normally, each placement will be assessed and graded to produce the overall module grade. However, should a student meet the relevant professional requirements (i.e. ESCs and Part 2, Statement of Competence) and have a deferral request upheld for one PLE grade (i.e. due to non-achievement of the required hours for grading) they may be presented at the assessment board for progression to the next part/stage of their programme. In such instances the graded PLE will become the overall module grade.
