Aims of Module | |||

To enable the student to develop independence in meeting the HCPC competencies for practice with minimal guidance and support. |
Learning Outcomes for Module | |

On completion of this module, students are expected to be able to: | |
1 | Reflect on their own professional development and the ability to participate in care with guidance from Practice Educators. |
2 | Demonstrate achievement of the HCPC standards of proficiency and standards of conduct, performance and ethics outcomes, as identified within the Practice Assessment Documentation (PAD), to meet progression criteria for entry to Stage 3 of the course. |
3 | Apply professional attitudes and values across a range of practice learning environments taking cognisant of shared ethical and professional values within uni-professional and interprofessional teams. |
4 | Safely demonstrate a range of communication and relationship management skills in a person-centred manner. |
5 | Safely demonstrate a range of Paramedic procedures to provide evidence-based, person-centred care. |

ADDITIONAL NOTES |

This is a paramedic practice learning module carried out over 20 weeks at 37.5 hours a week. For stage progression a minimum of 50% attendance for ambulance and non ambulance to progress to the next stage. To pass stage two and module NU2404 the following minimum attainment is required: at least 80% of the relevant SOPS and 80% of the skills at the Minimal Supervision Level; a pass grade in final PLE; and 100% of the Standards of conduct, performance and ethics. |
