Aims of Module
To enable the student to apply knowledge, understanding and skills in relation to the factors that influence health, health improvement and service delivery.

Learning Outcomes for Module
On completion of this module, students are expected to be able to:
1 Apply the role of evidence-based practice in public health.
2 Examine relevant local, national and global health policy and drivers in relation to health inequalities, poverty, vulnerability and social exclusion.
3 Explore the fundamental concepts of health promotion theories.
4 Discuss health informatics and economics related to paramedic practice.
5 Explore key public health priorities and potential interventions recognising the impact of the paramedic role in influencing behaviour.
