Learning Outcomes for Module | |

On completion of this module, students are expected to be able to: | |
1 | Appraise the role of the midwife in providing holistic women centred care that meets the additional care needs of women and families. |
2 | Apply effective, evidence based approaches to signs of compromise and deterioration in the woman, fetus and newborn infant. |
3 | Examine the role of collaborative practice across health and social care services for women and families with additional care needs or complications. |
4 | Demonstrate evidence informed midwifery skills in the management of care for women and infants with additional care needs, escalating when required. |
