Aims of Module | |||

To enable students to analyse the professional role and responsibilities of the midwife within the maternity care team to provide evidence based care. |
Learning Outcomes for Module | |

On completion of this module, students are expected to be able to: | |
1 | Apply legal and ethical principles to contemporary midwifery practice. |
2 | Illustrate the principles of research and the influence of evidence on midwifery care provision. |
3 | Discuss leadership and management and the significance of human factors on team performance. |
4 | Appraise lifelong learning within midwifery and its influence on maternity care provision. |
