Aims of Module | |||

To enable the student in the context of caring for the older adult and individual with a learning disability, to develop the knowledge, attitudes and skills to provide safe and effective person and family centred collaborative care. |
Learning Outcomes for Module | |

On completion of this module, students are expected to be able to: | |
1 | Outline the characteristics of therapeutic, professional and interprofessional relationships necessary to achieve person and family centred care within practice. |
2 | Explain the importance of professional knowledge, ethics, values and attitudes in relation to becoming a professional nurse. |
3 | Describe the relevance of reflection in relation to continuous lifelong learning. |
4 | Use relevant information literacy skills to identify a range of evidence that can be used to deliver effective nursing care for the older adult or an individual with a learning disability. |
