On completion of this module, students are expected to be able to: | |
1 | Understand the need for effective communication skills in midwifery care. |
2 | Identify the concepts of lifelong learning and empowerment in relation to the midwife's role. |
3 | Describe the scope and role of holistic, woman centred midwifery care throughout the childbearing continuum in a variety of contexts. |
4 | Select examples of appropriate foundational clinical midwifery skills. |
5 | Summarise the role of evidence informed practice within midwifery care. |
