Aims of Module
To provide the student with an understanding of the key legal principles involved in entering a contract in an international context.

Learning Outcomes for Module
On completion of this module, students are expected to be able to:
1 Assess and apply the relevant legal provisions to international contracts.
2 Evaluate the effectiveness of methods of dispute resolution.
3 Advise on appropriate remedies available in international contracts.

Indicative Module Content
Introduction to the law and practice of International Sale of Goods, contract formation and interpretation, international contract terms (INCOTERMS), discharge of obligations and available remedies, dispute resolution and UNCITRAL, questions of jurisdiction.
