Aims of Module | |||

To provide students with an understanding of key legal concepts and processes related to UK immigration law and current issues in the rapidly changing dynamics of UK immigration law. |

On completion of this module, students are expected to be able to: | |
1 | Demonstrate sound knowledge and understanding of the history and sources of UK immigration law. |
2 | Critically analyse the concept of nationality, citizenship and right of abode. |
3 | Critically appraise the requirements for applications made under the Immigration Rules and the rights and obligations of holders/applicants. |
4 | Critically appraise the system of immigration control in the UK. |
5 | Demonstrate sound understanding of the concept of free movement under EU law. |
