Aims of Module | |||

To develop skills in relation to the preparation and delivery of written and oral legal arguments in a forensic setting. |
Learning Outcomes for Module | |

On completion of this module, students are expected to be able to: | |
1 | Apply legal knowledge to, and formulate legal arguments in respect of, problem scenarios using appropriate legal authority. |
2 | Demonstrate understanding of forensic rhetoric. |
3 | Prepare written and oral legal arguments in the appropriate forms. |
4 | Present a persuasive oral argument in a courtroom or tribunal setting. |

This is a lecture and seminar based module. Lectures provide core module content. Seminars develop associated higher level skills through practical workshop sessions and student centred learning. |
