| 1 | Identify key elements of criminal liability and applicable defences. |
| 2 | Appraise substantive crimes and discuss the relationship between them and the key elements above. |
| 3 | Identify and solve problems in respect of specific offences. |
| Indicative Module Content |

| Actus reus and mens rea of crimes; art and part, and inchoate liability; defences and mitigating pleas; murder, culpable homicide and assault; sexual offences; breach of the peace and drugs; theft and offences against property. |
