To provide students with an understanding of the domestic framework within which businesses must operate and transact. |
Learning Outcomes for Module | |

On completion of this module, students are expected to be able to: | |
1 | Explain the law relating to business associations and its application. |
2 | Discuss the law relating to corporate insolvency, winding up, administration. |
3 | Discuss the various types of trusts and the fiduciary duties of trustees. |
4 | Evalaute the law on aspects of computer misuse and data protection. |
5 | Discuss malpractice such as money laundering, tax evasion and wrongful trading. |
Indicative Module Content |
---|
Company law: management and administration of the company, share and loan capital, liquidations and administration orders; Trusts: types, terms and construction, statutory provisions, fiduciary duties of trustees; Fraudulent and criminal behaviour; Bribery Act 2010; Data Protection Act 2018; Computer Misuse Act 1990. |
