| On completion of this module, students are expected to be able to: | |
| 1 | Outline the development of human rights. |
| 2 | Evaluate the impact of the UK human rights legislation and the problems therewith. |
| 3 | Understand individual human rights and the applicability thereof on specific subject matter including the criminal law, terrorism and prisoners. |

| Historical background of human rights, UK human rights legislation, the effect of human rights law on criminal justice, terrorism and the prison population. |
