Aims of Module

To execute a research project in a specific discipline.

Learning Outcomes for Module

On completion of this module, students are expected to be able to:

1. Competently conduct a systematic literature retrieval and critical appraisal through application of relevant techniques.
2. Synthesise a research proposal for an investigative study.
3. Deploy a range of generic and specialised skills, techniques, practices or materials that are associated with a specific discipline.
4. Work autonomously with minimal guidance to apply a problem solving method to a specific research question.
5. Deal with ethical and professional issues in order to make informed judgements.

Literature review, data collection, report writing, oral presentation, critical analysis, research method.
